Fiber pad
 
Fiber Pad System - A pad placed between the coil springs and the foam layered fills. The insulator pad prevents the springs from piercing the mattress fills, and provide a bridge across the springs to more evenly distribute weight over the springs.

Bonnell springs are knotted, round-top, hourglass-shaped steel-wire coils, which increases their load resistance. Modern coils feature more “turns” than in the past, making them very durable when combined with a heavier wire gauge. 660 Bonnell coils in queen, 874 Bonnell coils in king.
